Much like mobile games that require old hardware and software to run, the digital era of games is going to be tricky for preservationists. NME - One of the labels that brought College Rock out of the underground onto MTV, Sub Pop has had an amazing line up in its thirty years. The NME has a great rundown of tracks. (I would love to see a similar roundup for Wax Trax, Dischord, Touch and Go, and SST.)

Ars Technica - California's labeling laws means that nearly everything causes cancer, most recently sparking debates when coffee landed on their list. Though the law opens up lawsuit possibilities for some companies, it also has the problem of diluting warnings for serious carcinogenics. CA really needs to evaluate the law and reword it . . .
